Stagekids & Disney’s NEWSIES - May 29th and 30th, 2009 at MMCC PS 8 Beacon
For the past seven years, my passion has been to provided aspiring young actors with the opportunity to participate in the production of amazing shows. Especially those of you (my students) who I’ve had the opportuinity to work with for many years. Community theater is one of the most fulfilling and enjoyable activities that I have ever undertaken. You all make Stagekids a truly remarkable program that exemplifies everything good in youth theater. Everyone becomes one big extended family and all, from the very youngest to the most senior of our performers, bond and grow to know and love one another ... while doing something extremely positive, very educational and that truly teaches a sense of community.
For me, it also helps to keep me young and in your lives. None of that is possible without the hard work and dedication that you have all shown... It was truly a privilege, honor and pleasure to work with each and every one of you on this stage production and I hope to see all for the next season. The show must go on!
I also want to extend a heartfelt thank you and congratulations to my staff and stage crew for all their hard work to pull off this great production. The show was great!! A special thank you to my Stage Manager Gieddy Munoz, and Choreograher Keila Munoz for their hard work and helping to put a wonderful show together and for being patient with the cast and believing in them. I admire their professionalism, dedication and how efficiently they and our talented crew put together the whole production, and to the Mosholu Montefiore Community Center and PS 8 Beacon staff for their assistance in getting this project going.
Congratulations again on such a fine “Newsies” stage production!!! In my eyes, Newsies was a huge success. You all did an outstanding job.
