Special Note To Parents and Friends of Stagekids:

Thank you so much for your very kind contributions. I also want to express my appreciation for your generosity in support of MMCC Stagekids. Your personal commitment is incredibly helpful and has allowed us to pay for royalties, scripts and pre-recorded music for our upcoming performance of “Guys and Dolls Junior", a part of The Broadway Junior Collection. Thank you. Your assistance means so much to me but even more to the children of Stagekids. Thank you from all of us.

Sincerely,

Carlos Laboy, MMCC Stagekids Drama Director

UPDATE:

We finally made it to our goal to pay for scripts and music for our up coming performance of "Guys and Dolls Junior"!

We hope to continued receiving contributions to pay for sets, costumes and building materials. Our total to date now is $914.64.  Donations and contributions are still welcomed. Auditions took place on January 9th, 2010. The kids did a great job!

Stagekids Needs Your Help!

Stagekids began in 2002 and for seven years, the impromptu group flourished, putting on first-rate performances such as “Bugys Malone Jr.,” “Into The Woods Jr.,” and many more.  We are proud to announce that we are now celebrating our 8th Anniversary Season!

The voices of our children and youth continue to be inspired by the acting lessons and performances we create. Participation in Stagekids has equipped our young inspiring actors with the tools to become leaders. For many, Stagekids has been a life-changing experience--we have seen young actors grow into mature and capable thespians, many of whom are now going on to colleges and universities preparing for careers in the arts!

After recent cuts in funding we are challenged to find new ways to continue the same quality programming. This tough economic stretch has hit all of us. These are truly challenging times, and like other Non-Profit Organizations we have keenly felt the economic brunt through the financial struggles of our families and the reduction of funding.

Our next challenge now, is to raise funds to pay for materials (costumes and sets) for our upcoming May 2010 performance of “Guys and Dolls Jr.” provided by Music Theater International. All performances presented by Stagekids are free to the public.

We sincerely ask that you make a donation by check or money order to: Mosholu Montefiore Community Center. (In the memo area of your check or money order write “Stagekids”.) Mosholu Montefiore Community Center is a non-Profit 501 (c) (3) organization, therefore all contributions are tax-deductible.

Send to: Mosholu Montefiore Community Center, c/o Stagekids, 3450 DeKalb Avenue, Bronx, NY10467. The phone number there is 718-882-4000, extension 300.

Thank you,
Carlos Laboy, MMCC Stagekids Drama Director
